Privacy

1. Who we are

Woblar Pty Ltd (registration number 2026/589740/07), a South African company, is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, where it goes and the rights you hold. It applies to everyone who uses woblar.com, including business owners and sole traders, who are also protected under POPIA.

2. Finder and earlier Pulse Checks

The AI Opportunity Finder review does not require Google sign-in. When you continue, Woblar reads public pages from the website you supply and sends relevant website evidence, your business description and completed answers to OpenAI to prepare an understanding and recommendation. Comparator searches use public industry, services and location information, rather than your internal difficulty. Do not enter customer, patient or other sensitive details. No customer messages are sent.

A secure, HTTP-only cookie identifies an anonymous review session, not a verified person or Google account. Research, completed answers, corrections, saved versions and execution receipts are stored in separate Finder review collections in Google Cloud Firestore. Browser access expires after 24 hours; that expiry does not delete stored records. Cleanup is manual, and you can contact us about removal. A downloaded brief remains on your device. Existing account-owned Finder records remain separate and cannot be opened by an anonymous review session. OpenAI may process submitted information outside South Africa.

The earlier Business Pulse Check test service has been retired. It no longer accepts submissions or sends assessment summaries. Contact us if you have a question about an earlier test record.

When you use the website AI assistant

Your questions and the conversation are sent to OpenAI to prepare answers about Woblar. The assistant can make mistakes and does not send an enquiry or connect you to a live operator. Please do not share private or sensitive information.

We use necessary, secure browser cookies to connect your conversation and apply usage limits. Our existing Firebase database stores pseudonymous browser identifiers, provider session identifiers, request counts, turn status and available token usage. It does not store chat question or answer text. Daily usage limits reset at midnight South African time; starting a new chat does not reset your daily allowance. OpenAI retains provider-side session history. Contact the team if you need help with chat information or removal.

When you prepare an agent in Woblar

Woblar stores your signed-in team’s agent brief, settings, knowledge records and configuration history in Google Cloud Firestore. When preparation is available and you choose Prepare agent, the saved brief, settings and any approved knowledge you choose to include are sent to OpenAI, a third-party AI provider used by Woblar, to store an agent configuration. Only include information you are authorised to share, and do not add passwords or other secrets. AI processing and storage may occur outside South Africa.

Preparing a configuration does not make an agent live, start a conversation or perform a connected action. Later draft and knowledge changes are not automatically sent to the saved configuration. Woblar retains the configuration reference and setup status to manage your agent and avoid duplicate setup. Contact us about access, correction or removal; saving a new draft does not delete an earlier configuration.

3. When you request a conversation

The Contact form contains your name, company, email, optional phone number, topic and enquiry. Finder selections carry through only for the same signed-in account in the same tab, for a limited time. You can edit the summary or remove it before sharing. The form also shows any Pulse Check answers you choose to include. Open email draft prepares your completed answers locally and asks your email app to open a draft to hello@woblar.com. You review it and press Send there. For long drafts or an app that does not open, you can copy the complete message into your usual email service. The website does not save or send this form. Contact consent is separate from analytics consent and does not subscribe you to marketing.

4. Decision Engine tools

Finder and contact enquiries use the information you choose to provide. The retired Pulse Check no longer sends optional comparison requests to an AI provider.

The separate Decision Engine tool sends the business situation, question and criteria you submit through Woblar’s server to TypeSafe/Jev to generate an answer. This happens when you choose “Run this decision”, independently of Finder. Use sample or non-sensitive information in that tool.

Insights articles include optional AI exercises. When you confirm that your example is fictional and choose Run, the first-workflow tool sends it through OpenRouter to Azure, the draft-review tool sends it to OpenAI, and the follow-up tool sends it to TypeSafe/Jev. These providers may process the text outside South Africa. The website does not save exercise text or results in its database. It stores short-lived usage counters and a keyed hash of the network address to limit repeated requests; existing daily cleanup removes expired counters. Do not include customer, confidential or personal information. The tools suggest a next step and do not send messages or change business records.

5. Where a request goes

Previously submitted website enquiries are saved privately in Google Cloud Firestore for Woblar to review. Those records do not confirm an email was sent. The current Contact form opens a draft in your email app; your email service sends it to Woblar’s mailbox only when you choose Send. The old test enquiry and Pulse Check integrations have been retired. Vercel hosts the website. A keyed hash of the enquiry email and recent submission times limits repeated requests; it is separate from the enquiry record. A keyed hash of the submitting network address limits repeated article-tool requests. Inactive usage counters are marked for manual cleanup after 48 hours; this marker does not automatically delete them. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

6. Cross-border transfers

Google Cloud and Vercel support our Finder, enquiry and website services and may process information outside South Africa. TypeSafe/Jev may also do so when you run the separate Decision Engine tool. Under section 72 of POPIA, a cross-border transfer requires an applicable basis, such as adequate protection under a law or binding agreement, your consent, or a transfer needed to respond to your request. You can ask our Information Officer about the basis for a particular provider.

7. Direct marketing

We do not send unsolicited electronic marketing. If we ever communicate about our services, it will follow the opt-in rules of section 69 of POPIA, and every message will say how to opt out. Requesting a conversation is not a marketing subscription.

8. Analytics and cookies

Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics are only loaded if you accept them through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. They record general page and interaction events; Pulse Check answers and contact details are excluded. A draft-request event records your choice to open an email draft. It does not prove an email app opened, that you sent an email, or that an enquiry arrived. Vercel Speed Insights is always enabled: it is cookie-free and records aggregate performance metrics such as load time, used to keep the site fast and reliable. Essential browser storage supports your chosen workflow and Pulse Check answers. You can change your analytics choice at any time. Query strings and page fragments are removed from Vercel telemetry. The standalone Finder review does not load these analytics scripts.

9. Security and retention

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, restricted access and a secure server-side storage. Firestore enquiries include a retention-review date 12 months after submission. This is a human review date, not automatic deletion; Woblar reviews and updates it after later discussions. Contact us about any historical test records. Active relationships or legal duties may require longer retention. If a compromise poses a real risk to you, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as section 22 of POPIA requires.

10. Your rights under POPIA

You may ask whether we hold personal information about you (free of charge), request access (section 23), request correction or deletion (section 24), object to processing in your particular situation (section 11) and withdraw any consent you gave. Where a fee applies to a fuller request, we will give you a written estimate first. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.

11. Children

Woblar’s services are aimed at businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information about children, which carries additional protections under POPIA. If you believe a child’s information has been shared with us, contact us and we will work with you to remove it.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our processing or the law changes; the latest version and its date are always on this page. Questions, access or correction requests, or any other privacy enquiry can be raised through the contact page. You can also email privacy@woblar.com. Our Information Officer is E Taljaard. Our address is 18 Spantou Avenue, Wapadrand, 0050, Pretoria, South Africa. This policy should be read with our Terms of Use.
